Demos Parapanos, PhD, is a Lecturer in Tourism Management at the University of Cumbria. Demos’s research interests include new technologies and innovations such as gamified systems and applications in the tourism and hospitality industry. His field of research is focused on gamification and understanding hotel visitors’ motives when using hotel gamified applications. Demos’s background in the hospitality industry started in 2006 as a chef in hotels, restaurants and pubs.
